Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993 and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is well-known for her pioneering modern research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories as well as the role of children victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman has published widely as well as received numerous grants. She has also received several international and national awards. She has offered policy and research consultations to numerous agencies and government departments across the world. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division of the American Psychological Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
